Jochen (John) E. Brinkmann, of Upper Saddle River, New Jersey died peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 50 years to Maris (née Etkin). Loving father and devoted grandfather to Kirsten Brinkmann (Jim Timmerman- Caroline and Michael), Claudia Balestier (Steve- Joanna, Matthew, Lauren, and Jamie) and Monika Martucci (Joe- Riley, Camryn, and Alexa).
Born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany, John came to this country in 1966. He had a successful career as a business executive, retiring at age 69 and finally becoming a U.S. citizen in 2004! John enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, the theater, drinking good wine and playing lots of tennis.
Family and friends will be received at the Brinkmann Home, 7 Hopper Farm Road, Upper Saddle River to celebrate the life of John on Saturday, March 7th from 2-5 PM.
