LICAR, MILDRED ROSE (nee RAMPMAIER), 92, of Woodland Park, passed away peacefully at her home, in Assisted Living in Wayne on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Henry J. Licar (2008). Loving mother of Lois and her husband David, Dona and her husband Michael, Christine and her husband Edward, and Holly Licar. She will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren, Colin, Pilar, Tina; Daniel, Dominick; John, Elizabeth, Kim, and Chris. and great-grandchildren; Aiden and Dominick and one expected this August. The youngest of 6 girls, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
She was a parishioner at St. Bonaventure’s Catholic Church in Paterson for over 65 years and an active member of the Senior’s Club in Woodland Park.
Mildred graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC, focusing on fashion design and pattern making. Her passions were sewing and reading. Because of poor vision in later years, she never gave up on her reading. Audiobooks! finishing at least two books a week.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Bonaventure’s, Paterson. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, NY.
