HERRON, CHARLES JAMES, 76, born on March 14, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, died on March 30, 2024, in Wayne, NJ. “Charlie” was the only son of James and Marie Herron of Collingswood, NJ. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Scranton University and went on to George Washington University to study Microbiology. It was there that he was encouraged by an academic counselor to apply to a new law school and prepare for a career as a patent attorney. In 1976, he completed his JD as a member of the first graduating class of Franklin Pierce School of Law of the University of New Hampshire. He went on to practice law in private firms, corporations, and his own practice, specializing in biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent and licensing law. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Herron. Cremation will be private. His ashes will be interred at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, NJ alongside his loving parents.
