BONURA, CHRISTOPHER, 59, of Hasbrouck Heights formerly of North Haledon passed quietly at home after a long illness on October 4, 2021. He was born on December 2, 1961, and resided in North Haledon for most of his life. Christopher was an expert autobody mechanic and had a love for anything “cars”. He was mechanically inclined and could complete a task assembling anything in minutes. He was a natural artist and could sketch anything. He loved his family and friends, always so proud of them. Christopher enjoyed coming to Sunday dinners with the family, and dining out, for he always knew the best restaurants and eateries.
He is predeceased by his mother, Patricia, and his father, Salvatore. He is survived by his sister Michele and brother-in-law Gary Cislo, and his 4 nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly. He loved his aunts and uncles and his cousins, with whom he shared many good times, and will also miss him dearly. “Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free” Psalm 118:5
Cremation was private. A Committal Prayer service will be held at the Calvary Mausoleum at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 23rd in ***St. Michael Rotunda is located on the first floor of Mausoleum Unit 3. Looking at the mausoleum from the cemetery office it would be on the far left***. Inurnment will immediately follow.
