June A. Granito

GRANITO, JUNE A., (nee REIERSEN), 89, of Wyckoff formerly of Oakland and Long Island, NY died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 18, 2023.  Beloved wife of the the late P. Jerry (2002).  Loving mother of Ellen and her husband Howard Leeds and Beth Granito Emmolo.  Devoted sister of Peter  and his wife Arleen Reiersen.  Cherished Gram of Anthony, Jacob, Sophia and Janelle.  

Before retiring June worked for the FBI and Franklin National Bank, LI, NY.  She was a former member of Notre Dame Parish, New Hyde Park, NY.  Her love for children and reading lead her to volunteering in the Reading Lab at New Hyde Park Memorial High School and most recently the Sicomac Elementary School Library.  June was an avid puzzler AKA the "Puzzle Queen", a book worm and loyal Jeopardy watcher.  Her family and friends will miss her warm smile and awesome sense of humor.

Friends and family will be received for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, December 23rd  from 2:00-4:00 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.  A Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 4:00 PM.  Cremation was private.  Inurnment will take place at a future date at Calverton National Cemetery,  Wading River NY.
