Lidia Libertino

LIBERTINO, LIDIA (nee Terraglia,) 88, of Hawthorne, New Jersey died peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Dominico of 61 years, who passed away on January 2, 2022. A cherished mother of Marianna Ficca, Pasquale and his wife Monica Libertino; Giuseppe Libertino. A devoted sister to Mr. Victor Terraglia of Hawthorne, New Jersey, along with his family and close friends. Lidia loved and cherished her brother so much that they were best friends; besides brother and sister. She was also very close with her sisters, Tina and Carmela, both of whom reside in Italy. Although the Ocean separated them, love had no boundaries. A cherished Nona, of Steven Ficca and Danny Ficca, Pasquale Libertino (Jr) and Alessandra Lidia Libertino. She was also a great grandmother of Arya Ficca and to many others that knew her as Nona.

Before retiring in 2000, Lidia worked for Vanguard Plastics of Paterson, New Jersey. She loved to cook and looked forward to the Holidays. She was a member of Saint Anthony’s Church of Hawthorne, NJ. Lidia accepted Jesus, as her lord and savior into her heart; before she became ill, knowing that he was the son of the Living God. My mother will truly be missed by all of the family & friends, along with her distant family. As her son Pasquale, I know that my mother is finally home, with Father God and King Jesus, our Lord and savior. As she left this earth, I can’t help but wonder as she saw and was greeted by her Husband and Family. “Welcome home faithful servant, well done.”

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, February 23rd from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Manke Memorial @ Scillieri-Arnold Funeral Home, 351 Fifth Avenue, Paterson. A Funeral Service will be held during visitation at 12:15 PM by Father Frank Lennie of St. Anthony’s Parish, Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
