Louise F Grattini

GRATTINI, LOUISE F. (nee COLOSI), 95, of Washington Township formerly of Manahawkin died on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Beloved wife of 66 years to the late Richard (2018). Loving mother of Joanna & her husband Fred Policastro and Michael Grattini. Cherished grandmother of Freddy, Michael, Max, Jill, and great-grandmother of Hayden.

Louise adored her grandchildren. They were unabashedly the light of her life. She was essential to their lives, from great times at the Jersey shore to holidays, birthdays, and many other family celebrations; her grandchildren knew that Grandma was always there for them.

Louise also had a special relationship with many of Joanna and Michael's friends. She was indeed a friend to their friends. Her dinner table was an open invitation to anyone who was there. Treated to delicious meals, Louise made sure that they felt at home and comfortable sitting at her table. Whether adding extra vinegar (much to Michael's dismay) to a salad for Ollie or making sausage and peppers for Glen, she loved knowing she was doing something just for them. However, it wasn't just food that made Louise special. Invited into after-school poker games, Louise was a grandmaster and taught us all the true meaning of a poker face. If the light was on, as Randy knew, you could knock on the door, and she would be there for a late-night conversation and something to eat. Albeit we have mentioned just a few friends here, and it would take pages to note them all, rest assured all of our friends know how much she cared for them.

Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, July 25th from 6-8 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. Cremation was private.
