HESSE, JR., OSCAR AUGUST, 84, of Millville, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Beloved husband of 43 years to Patricia (nee McIver).  Loving father to Rev. William(Mary), Kenneth(Barbara), and Kathleen(Javier). Stepfather to John(Cassie). Adored grandfather to Genevieve aka Melissa(Justin), Will(Mickaël), Kenny Jr., Charlie, Ariana, Jillian, Beckett & Alden. Cherished great-grandfather to Brad, Riley, Bentley & Kayley. Godfather to Morgan. Brother of Robert F. Hesse and the late Donald L. Hesse (11/2025).

Lover of animals, fur-Dad to Bridget and Bandit. Born in Hackensack, NJ, raised in HasbrouckHeights, NJ, and employed & retired from AT&T. Blessed to have traveled to parts all over the world, including Panama, Colombia, Amsterdam, Germany, to name a few. Scoutmaster, home brewer, model train engineer.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 16th, from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM at The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, 72 Lodi St, Hackensack. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated after the visitation at 11:00 AM. Cremation will be private.
