Sardar Rajinder Singh Dhamoon of Englewood, NJ, passed peacefully into the arms of eternity on 3 July 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife Dr. Satwant K Dhamoon, devoted brother Harcharan S Dhamoon, and a large extended family including nieces, nephews, and brother and sisters-in-law. He is predeceased by his late sister Dr. Jasbir Mahapatra, and late brother Manmohan S Dhamoon.
Coming from humble beginnings, he was able to rise up to success as a truly self-made man. He lived a full life as an active and well-respected member of the local and international Sikh community, a philanthropist, an astute businessman, entrepreneur, and lover of classical kirtan
music. He spent many years traveling the world as an Electrical Engineer, living in Libya and Germany among other places before settling in the United States with his wife. Together with his wife, he successfully developed a thriving healthcare business where they both gave their lives
and labor of love, serving those in need. He will be remembered as a proud, well-dressed, well-mannered, hospitable man who enjoyed
intellectual discussions, always willing to help, with a bright twinkle in his eyes. He loved reading and learning, recounting stories of his past, and eating out at his favorite restaurants.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 10 AM-12 PM at Manke Memorial at Scillieri - Arnold Funeral Home, 351 5th Ave, Paterson. A funeral service will be held during visitation. Cremation to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
